Smash 4 Hits 2,000 Entrants at EVO 2016

Just 6 days ago EVO tweeted out that it had broken a significant Smash record, and that Smash 4 at EVO would be the largest Smash tournament of all time, breaking last years Smash 4 1,926 entrants. Today the brand has given us a bit of an update, that we’ve officially joined the 2,000+ club! This marks the 2nd game to make it into the “2k club” as Evo calls it, after Ultra Street Fighter IV reached 2,227 entrants in 2015. It’s already confirmed that Street Fighter V continues to break even this record, so Smash is still sitting at 2nd place, but with nearly a month left for registration, anything can happen.
